Del Hausman, Ph.D. - Principal
Dr. Hausman has Master’s degrees from Villanova University in German and English and a Ph.D. from Penn State University. He has taught German in the Lower Moreland School District, Villanova University, and Manhattan College, English in a German Gymnasium as well as graduate courses in Educational Administration at Penn State. He is the former Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Lower Moreland Township School District. He is a currently Consultant to the College Board for Advanced Placement German

Jeanette Hausman, Ph.D. - Head of School
A graduate of Temple University, Jeanette has Pennsylvania certification in physics, general science, mathematics, and the Principalship. She has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Arcadia University and a Ph.D. from Penn State. She has been Supervisor of Mathematics, Science, and Technology for the Lower Moreland School District, where she currently teaches Physics and coaches Girls’ and Boys’ Tennis.

John Scholtz, - Treasurer
Earned his BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and his ASEE from Penn State. He serves on the finance committee of Immanuel Lutheran Church and is Treasurer of the Karpatendeutsche Landsmannschaft USA and Canada. He is a former student of the Immanuel German School.

Marianne Haug, - Chair of the Immanuel German School Committee
Education training received from Temple University. Taught German at the Immanuel Lutheran School in Burholme for 25 years. Co-author of Jump Into Germantextbook. AATG member. Former board Member of the German Language School Conference. Beginning her 37th year with Immanuel.

Lotte Ballmann
Certified teacher of Biology in Germany. Experienced Kindergarten teacher and a native speaker of German. A member of the Immanuel faculty since 1991.

Katie DeMarco
Is a recent graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a B.A. in German. We are pleased to welcome her into the IGS family. In addition to her work at Lebanon Valley, Ms. DeMarco has participated in an intensive German Language Course in the Katholische Hochschule, Würzburg.

Ester Eichler
A graduate of Swarthmore College, Ester was hired in 1995 as a German teacher by Abington School District to teach 7th to 12th grade German classes. She attended the University of Munich. Ester participated actively on the AATG Kinder lernen Deutsch steering committee and chaperoned GAPP (German-American Partnership Program) trips. She is an AATG member.

Karen Eppinger
A Certified Public Accountant.   Minored in German at Muhlenberg College.  A Trustee of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge Club for several years. Karen resumed teaching the Pre- K class in 2009, which she taught for 14 years.

Katrina Fachin-Lucas
Earned her B.A. in Political Science from Penn State with a minor in German, an M.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Hampshire. Has taught grammar school through graduate school. Substitute teacher at Immanuel since January 2010

Jessica Gibney
Earned her B.A. in German Languages and Literatures form the College of William and Mary. Earned her MS.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania. Taught Deutsch als Fremdsprache at the Deutschschule Washington and Northern Virginia Community College. She currently teaches in Philadelphia. Joined Immanuel in 2009.

Thomas Golanoski
A former Immanuel student who is very excited to join our teaching staff. He studied German at the University of Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany and is currently a student at Temple University where he is a member of the National German Honor Society. Tom joined Immanuel in 2010.

Andrew Graff
Earned a M.A. in Modern German Culture from Indiana University Bloomington and a M.A. in Education from La Salle University.  Studied at the University of Heidelberg. Currently teaches German and French in the Centennial School District in Warminster, Pa.  Attended the week-long AATG seminar, "TPRS Coaching and Learning", in the summer of 2010.

Michael Kida
Earned a B.A. in German from LaSalle University and received a Fulbright scholarship to study historical linguistics and dialectology at the University of Marburg. He is a teacher, translator and interpreter. He teaches English as a second language at Drexel Univeristy and at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He joined Immanuel in 2007.

Dr. Eva Luegmayr
Earned her Master and Ph.D. degrees in biology from the University of Vienna and is a certified middle and high school level biology teacher in Austria. While employed at Merck Research Laboratories as a visiting scientist, she focused on teaching and training her colleagues in microscopy. Eva begins her fifth year at Immanuel.

Edward McKenney
Completed his B.A. in German & M.A. in Education. Recently retired German teacher from Pennsbury High School with 36 years of teaching experience. Participated in the Fulbright Exchange Program (1989-1990). Co-author of the German Curriculum for the School District of Philadelphia. AATG member. Ed has been an Immanuel faculty member since 1980.

Martina Oborna
We are pleased to welcome Ms. Oborna to our faculty. She has an undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Agriculture, Martin-Luther-Universität, Halle an der Saale, Germany, and a Master’s degree from the same institution. She is employed by Lingua-Vitae and is completing certification in Secondary Education

Margot Purucker
Certified Kindergarten teacher in Germany. Co-author of Jump Into German. AATG member. She participates in the Lower Moreland Enrichment Program teaching a German class. Has taught at Immanuel for the past 37 years.

Elisabeth Reap, Computer Resource Coordinator
Earned a Master’s degree in Education from Temple University. She attended the St. Henry’s German School for many years. She is currently the Assistant Director of Student Financial Services at Temple. Liz has been with Immanuel since 2005.

Petra Rieker
Graduated from the University of Bamberg, Germany, with the academic title Diplom-Kauffrau and graduated from Deutsche Akademie für Public Relations, with the title Public Relations Consultant (DAPR). She gained extensive international public relations experience by working for major German banks. She currently works as a tutor, translator, and free-lance writer. She is a native of Heilbronn, Germany.

Margaret Stiles
Earned her B.A. in German and Political Science from Rutgers University and her Master’s degree in Education from LaSalle University. She teaches German in the Lower Moreland Township School District. Margaret has been teaching at Immanuel since the second semester of 2004.

B. Christina Stolley
Earned her M.A. in German Literature and Language from the University of Pennsylvania and certification in elementary and art education from Widener University. She is pursuing an M.A. in elementary education. Chris joined Immanuel in 1991.
